San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School

Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.

San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School students are part of a holistic learning environment preparing them for high school, college and beyond. The Pueblo student’s life includes various opportunities to learn outside the classroom. Through diverse extra-curricular activities, students enhance their educational experience and enrich their overall life. Here are some of the opportunities available at San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School:

Student Council

Students in third through eighth grade can join the student council. Student council allows students to learn parliamentary procedures and develop leadership skills, while positively impacting our school community. Many of the future problem solvers, critical thinkers and community leaders will participate in the student council.

Science Fair

Every year, San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School hosts a science fair. Upper-grade students are required to design, create and present their science projects. Under-grade students are also encouraged to explore the wonders of science by presenting projects of their own. The science fair gives students a chance to practice research, collaboration, problem–solving, and creativity.

Spelling Bee

Our annual spelling bee is open to all students who want to showcase their spelling skills in a fun and competitive environment. San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School identifies the advanced spellers through a series of competitions. The school-wide winners may have the opportunity to represent their school/grade in spelling bees in other classes and/or communities.

Field Trips

Field trips are an exciting part of the student life and our learning curriculum. Before students can participate in field trips, parents/guardians must sign an official school permission form. While we love having parents join us, only students and staff are allowed on the bus. Parents and guardians are responsible for their own transportation and expenses; Siblings are not permitted to attend trips designated for specific grade levels. During field trips, students are expected to follow all school rules and demonstrate their best behavior. Please make prior arrangements with the teacher to check out a student during a field trip.

Athletic / PE Programs

Our athletic and physical education programs help students build self-confidence, character and leadership skills. Sports competitions strengthen our school community as we come together to support our student-athletes. Our students develop their minds, bodies and spirits through various P.E. programs and learn teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship through competition.
